Exists a way to troubleshoot what's going on This thread is locked. All the connected devices will now cause DeviceConnected events. I will be going through and updating all the drivers (except maybe the BIOS for now - BIOS updates ALWAYS make me nervous for some reason) and then trying again. Error message: Entering error state, will request WDF to reset the driver Followed by informational even: Driver exit RTD3. I have tried to do some research, but am struggling with a definitive answer - it initially looks like they simply may not be compatible due to differences in the type/power of the USB-C ports on the different models. The connector does light up when connecting to the EliteBook. To make sure the Dock's firmware is up to date, please go to Dell's site at: and download the updater. Several laptops have been reported to overheat when used with this dock. Without going too deep, I also have an HP EliteBook (model HSN-1113C-4) and the dock works perfectly - power, display, keyboard, mouse, etc. Most ECN laptop docks are WD TB 19 series. The connector has a light on it, but does not turn on when connected to the laptop When I connect it to my HP Pavilion 15-cs0064st, it picks up the Ethernet connection, but does not use the power or HDMI display from the dock. I don't have cables available to test the on board monitor connections. Ethernet does work if I plug directly into the Laptop. Tested with other known good docks, same result. Power Cycled Laptop and Dock a few times. I recently received a Dell WD19 USB-C docking station through my workplace and am trying to simplify swapping my HP with my work computer. Ran Dell Command Update and updated the Dock Firmware.
